Expert Bio

Richard Hill, M.A., M.Ed., M.B.M.Sc., is a practicing psychotherapist, author, educator, and professional supervisor. He is Science Director for CIPPS in Salerno, Italy, and Managing Editor and Education Director for The Science of Psychotherapy. He is co-author with Ernest Rossi, PhD, of The Practitioner’s Guide to Mirroring Hands, which is both a technique and a way of practice that incorporates a client-responsive approach and natural problem-solving. This book was followed with The Practitioner’s Guide to the Science of Psychotherapy (Norton, 2022) with Matthew Dahlitz. He is a regular presenter of the weekly Science of Psychotherapy Podcast with special guests from around the world and Managing Editor of the international magazine, The Science of Psychotherapy. He is Patron of The Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists; Past-president of the Global Association of Interpersonal Neurobiology Studies (GAINS). He is the author of several other books and book chapters including The Neuroeducation Toolbox, Mental Health and Higher Education in Australia, Making Psychotherapy More Effective with Unconscious Process Work, and Handbook of Hypnotic Techniques, Vol 2.
